Waskaganish 350th Anniversary Video

Many towns and cities are proud of their history, and rightly so. However, our community has made history not only for its people, but for all Aboriginal peoples as well as for Canada itself. It is with great honor and joy that we celebrate our 350th anniversary of the gathering place.

Call to Action - Climate Change Adaptation in Waskaganish

We are the Cree of Waskaganish. Our community is situated at the mouth of the Rupert River at James Bay in Northern Quebec, Canada.

In the summer of 2018 we came together to discuss how climate change is affecting our community, to identify appropriate solutions to cope with the impacts and to increase our resilience.

This project was project managed by the Cree Nation Government and the Cree Nation of Waskaganish. It was delivered by InsightShare with the financial support of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada.
